A little late to post, but here it is: The Rustic Wagon was completed in fall 2025 and is now ready for its new life as a mobile bar. The project turned a vintage horse trailer into a fully equipped, event-ready bar with thoughtful storage, durable finishes, and a layout designed for efficient service. The goal was to preserve the rustic charm while making the space practical and welcoming for events.

🚨 Mobile Bar Trailer Conversion v2.0 – Completed Project! 🚨

Since my last update, I’ve wrapped up the build with some great finishing touches: 🔹 Installed LED light bars for the prep area and servery window 🔹 Completed the hemlock siding for a warm, natural finish 🔹 Finished the cabinets and countertops 🔹 Connected the plumbing for the running sink 🔹 Installed a cooler to keep beverages cold

The trailer has now gone to the client to complete the electrical work and add their own finishing details. ⚡️

That wraps up my part of this project — it’s been an awesome build from start to finish. This mobile bar will be ready to rent next spring, and I can’t wait to see it in action! 🍹🚚

Since my last post, the interior (and now exterior!) are really starting to come together. I’ve:
 🔹 Fabricated and installed custom cabinets and shelving 🔹 Fitted two bar fridges for beverage service 🔹 Installed countertops, a sink, and cooler 🔹 Added hemlock siding for a clean, natural finish 🌲

Each step brings this mobile bar closer to being fully functional and event-ready. 🍹

My client trusted a previous contractor to insulate their ceiling space. Upon demolition, this is what we found. Spray foam oozing everywhere mixed with fibreglass and blow in insulation. Additional time is now incurred to tidy this up in order to run a 6” exhaust duct and board up for taping. Always be involved. Ask lots of questions and always be aware of what’s going on. It may cost you in the long run.

This weekend found me working on a pair of wall hung end tables for a client in the west Toronto community of Baby Point (project reveal coming soon). Left over materials and a few hours of time had me tweaking my trailer to accommodate my cooler and water bottles. Over the last couple of years, this is the first “substantial” upgrade I’ve made to its layout since it’s inception. What a testament to the thoroughness in planning of its initial design.
