“Choosing a contractor is a confusing process and getting the right contractor for the job is essential. I have always been a skeptic when it comes to anything to do with contractors as I really don’t trust them and always feel that I am not getting what I am paying for and the amount I am paying is highly over inflated. I chose RENEW Complete because I had seen pictures of their work online and there was something about this contractor that appealed to me. Maybe it was the personal nature of a one man operation that attracted me or maybe it was the photos of the work that had been completed by the company but regardless of the reason, I believe I made the right choice.
Keeping the lines of communication open was a high priority with RENEW Complete and there was never a time during the renovation where I wondered what was going on or didn’t understand the process. Fern was quick to answer any questions I had and I never felt that I was bothering him or that my question was insignificant. Every question, no matter how small or large, was met with an enthusiastic and reassuring manner that made both myself and my wife feel informed and at ease during the entire process.
My wife and I have very odd schedules and Fern was respectful of that and did his utmost to adjust work start and finish times to accommodate them. In discussing the job and the timelines to completion, the work schedule was very clearly laid out and to my surprise, it was accurate. When dealing with other contractors, there is always a delay (inevitable in some situations, I know) that affects each and every contractor down the line, causing back charges and penalties from the ones affected by the delay. With our kitchen renovation, this was never an issue as the schedules laid out by RENEW Complete were precise and accurate. The countertop contractor actually delayed the job by two weeks and I had concerns about how it would affect the schedule for RENEW Complete. My concerns were unfounded as Fern was very understanding of the delays and adjusted schedules to meet the needs of the customer and not the needs of the contractor.
At the beginning of every work day, tarps were always laid down and plastic hung in an attempt to minimize the dust that is naturally caused by construction. The level of customer consideration that RENEW Complete has when it comes to keeping the client’s home as clean as possible is very refreshing. The job site was always neat and tidy and at the end of every working day, the site was cleaned with all refuse being removed from the property.
As for price point, the price was fair and competitive with everything very clearly laid out in the quote. There was never a question as to what was included and what was not and all details were clearly noted and verified both verbally and in writing.
I’m satisfied with our kitchen renovation and the tiling work that was completed by RENEW Complete. Having a contractor as easy to work with as them has been a refreshing change from the normal experiences of household contractors. Renovations are stressful enough without having to deal with a troublesome contractor and I will definitely be using RENEW Complete for any future renovations. The quality of work, the attention to detail and the customer’s needs, the respect for the customer’s home and the easy going nature of Fern made this a positive experience and I’m glad I chose him for our renovation. You won’t be disappointed with RENEW Complete. I know I’m not.“
